Black Mask: You Wish Was Real
This thriller concept is my interpretation of a story by creator Michael Anthony Snowden. I created this video in July 2024. BLACK MASK is an anthology mystery TV series with a visual style inspired by Sin City and storytelling techniques drawn from the masterful Alfred Hitchcock. Unlike most anthology series that introduce a new set of characters every episode, BLACK MASK features a permanent cast of characters who appear in a different drama, mystery, or thriller each week. Each season will consist of 6 to 8 episodes. The BLACK MASK series is a collection of Neo-Noir tales centered around the tenants of the "Noir Apartments," an eerie building located on the edge of a busy city corner. These aren’t just ordinary apartments—deep within its walls lie dark secrets of blackmail, deceit, and crime, all leading to the same deadly conclusion: murder. While the episodes vary greatly in tone and plot, they share a common thread and often feature a wicked sense of humor or an unexpected twist.

I'm having a blast exploring Topaz Labs' tools, especially the new Starlight feature with AI video from Veo 2. While it's still a work in progress, I'm impressed with the potential, though some issues like color flattening and missing details (e.g., wet characters and waves not matching the sea monster's size) have popped up. Topaz Video AI (Theia) helps recover some lost detail, but I'm still tweaking settings and prompts. Overall, I'm excited about the possibilities and looking forward to refining it further!
