Matthieu Lorrain is a creative and technology innovator specializing in digital experiences and content innovation. Currently, he serves as the Creative Lead for AI & Creativity Research at Google DeepMind. Additionally, Matthieu is the co-founder of Liquid Logic, an art collective that explores the intersection of AI and human creativity. With a career spanning over two decades, Matthieu has collaborated with renowned artists and global organizations to reshape interactive storytelling. His work has explored the creative potential of emerging technologies, including interactive video, connected objects, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence. Recently, his focus has been on how generative AI can enhance the creative process. Matthieu’s past projects have earned numerous awards, including Emmy Awards, Cannes Lions (Gold), Clios (Gold), Webby Awards, Tribeca Film Festival recognition, as well as accolades like 'Product of the Day' on Product Hunt and FWA. A guest lecturer at Columbia University, Matthieu delivered the first-ever masterclass on AI & Filmmaking in 2024. He is also a sought-after speaker, having presented at major conferences such as Cannes Lions (three times), SXSW, Spike Asia, 4A’s Createtech, and the NYC Tech Forum. Originally from the French Alps, Matthieu has lived in Rio de Janeiro, Montreal, and Paris before relocating to New York City in 2011. He holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from the Institut d’Études Politiques and another in Marketing & Communication from ESCP Paris Business School.
