Roope Rainisto (born 1979) is a Finnish artist, designer, and photographer, known for pioneering AI-generated art. After a diverse creative career, he turned to AI during the COVID-19 lockdowns, using image-generation tools to create "virtual photography." His breakthrough came with Life in West America (2023), a sold-out AI NFT collection. Rainisto's works, blending real and imagined, have garnered international recognition in the Web3 art world. With a background in design and an M.Sc. in Information Networks, he continues to push the boundaries of AI and post-photography. He is represented by WME.
